Study Circles
Coulee Partners for Sustainability coordinates formation of study groups to discuss books and topics that address sustainability issues. Circles usually consist of up to 12 participants and 1 or more facilitators and meet weekly for several weeks.
Study circles are informal and are open to anyone who wishes to participate. Circles usually meet once a week in the early evening for about 1.5 hours to discuss reading assignments and brainstorm about what ideas should be implemented in the La Crosse area. Circles are also a good way to learn about sustainability projects that our local governments and businesses are planning.
Natural Step study circles
Participants learn about the Natural Step framework that is being used by the City and County of La Crosse. Circles meet several times throughout the year. Click here for more information.
Northwest Earth Institute study circles
Click here for more information about Northwest Earth Institute discussion courses, which include readings that explore a variety of sustainability issues. Several Northwest Earth Institute discussion courses have been held in La Crosse and more will be scheduled in the future.
